Things that I've learned from 2008

Things that Ive learned from 2008. This year has been interesting so I will give it in list form. I have thought hard, and long, and I will share my close thoughts of my year, and what I witnessed so far this year...

1. Golds Gym is evil. Never sign up.
2. Bed bath beyond is great on exchanges, I hate target, but love target gift cards.
3. I find myself turning into my mom.. which is not a bad thing
4. Oprah, just isn't the same anymore.
5. Singles ward has prepared me for the awkwardness in family wards.
6. David Archuletta is still awesome
7. Sparky passed, but I still love him, and learned alot from the little guy.
8. Eric likes video games, like alot...which is fine, I just always point out he should play "the bee movie" xbox games, or the lame ones...apparently they aren't fun enough, they atleast have to have a 5 different guns to switch back.. Brooks would know
9. Red box is evil.
10. SNL is only funny with andy samberg in skits
11. turning my phone on silent, is basically like not having it... so i need to answer more often
12. Miley Cyrus is overrated
13. Once your married "your room" suddenly gets change into a "theme room" such as "serenity room" or "computer room"
14. Lindsay fun Days are still fun
15. I am not a fan of "stimulus" packages
..... Happy New year!!!!!!!!

So long Miami

we are leaving Miami this morning. I have to say I am kind of sad. It has been a cultural experience that I will never forget. We board the cruise in an hour... I think Eric is still in bed, but awake. We are going on the Norweign Cruise Line, and I think its a big up grade from a Days Inn.
We are going to Belize, Cozumel, Hondurus, Roaton, and their private Island. I know on Belize we are going down a cave that has a river going through it, and we are on tubes.. it will be awesome, and then we are going on four wheelers through the jungle. So we should get some cool pictures.

I doubt I can use the internet because its like 20 bucks a minute, and we still need to pay rent. But like I always say.. I will blog, I will blog, because I was made to blog.

Airports and Humidity

Tonight I am writing this blog luckily in a Days Inn. Its one of the many ammentities they offer. Actually the only one. I think Ive never been so scared in my life. Im in Miami.. So the city does have a bad rap, but come on will smith sings about it... So it all started with a bad storm in slc.. the worst one of the year, luckily we boarded the plane and waited on the runway in a line of planes for an hour. Im not complaining, im just glad I got out of there. Then we wound up in Dallas with only 20 minutes to get to our next plane to catch to Miami... now dallas airport is the size of rhode island, and we had to take a trax type thing around the whole airport. Luckily we got there in time. I have never ran so much in my life. We landed in Miami about 9 pm. I hate humidity, mostly because my hair is crazy, but then I do have good skin...

Wish me luck, on the night in Miami.. I have never seen so many cubans in my life.. wow.. can they come here? on the other hand, I have no allergies, So thanks miami and humitity. I love this day!

Our snow day...and a Mariachi band

Eric and I were having a great day up little cottonwood canyon taking pictures. He loves to take pictures of nature, etc. This was far up little cottonwood, and Eric went up a little more into the snow to get some more pictures. I stood more by the side of the road. I turned my head and all of a sudden there was some people talking and playing guitar... I looked and saw there was a Mariachi band posing and singing. I think they were getting pictures. So as soon as Eric got back, Eric and I got pictures with them. If you really think of it... We had to get a picture to prove the story.

Lindsay's favorite things

Oprah has been bugging me lately. It all started with her strong political views on her show, and telling us all needed to go green.
What happened to the Oprah that I use to know? The oprah that did make overs, that gave out cars to everyone ( "you get a car, you get a car, you get a car!"), or Oprah's favorite things. She decided not to do them this year. Its something you look forward to...Christmas, Thanksgiving, Oprah's favorite things, its all in the same category. It's the show you wait all year for, but yet you end up hating all the people that get everything. They get camera's, tv's, cars, clothing, things that add up to 20,000. So maybe its a good thing it didn't happen this year.
She decided to do a show on bargain shopping. LAME. So in lieu of Oprah's favorite things, I am going to do Lindsay's favorite things. Because maybe some people can get some ideas for their holiday shopping.
1. Delicious Apple- by DKNY, its great
2. Blimpie's frosted cookie
3. Superwalmart- I love everything about my neighborhood walmart
4. Diet 7 up pomegranate (limited time only)
5. My Tempurpedic pillow
6. American Eagle Boyfriend Jeans
7. Prozac
8. Marley and Me
9. People magazine and Ok.. never stoop down to Life and Style (even though its cheaper)
10. any reality tv show

A Wii Injury

Eric and I enjoyed a great dinner at my parents house. At a young age I have always been a "bit" competitive. My family recently bought a wii. Its great, I like it. I may not be good at mario cart.. actually I cannot drive, and it might be "painfully" to watch. But let me tell you, im good and confident in bowling.
Maybe I get it from my mom, who was on the "fairladies" bowling league. I know see that bowling has been passed down to me, in Wii form. I was playing against my family, and I was scoring really high. My last score was a 185. Which is nothing to complain about. After the game, my family ate pie and played some other games. Then before we left for the night we played bowling again. Let me tell you, I went in for the first bowl, and my arm did not feel right. It did not have the same force, and i noticed a sharp pain on my right side of my arm. I told them I might have threw out my arm... no one believed me.
Today, I am sore all through my arm, can't hardly move it... I am not here to complain, but to warn the general public about the dangers of Wiing.. I just think we need to take neccessary percausions, next time I am bringing a bowling glove and shoes. It might help with the injury..

Overall we had a great Thanksgiving. Great leftovers, and I am looking forward to Christmas! Happy Blogging

Sparky..

Oh, little sparky passed away 2 months ago, and i miss the little guy. As you can tell, he was quite noble. He was a mix, a westie "want to be" but we loved him anyway. We got Sparky from a rescue when he was about 6 years old, or the vet said, "hes been around the block". But hey he lived til he was about 15 years old. He was my little buddy. Here are some pictures to show you how close we were.

my brother....

Ok, the expert on blogs, says that my blog needs to be about something. That it can't just be about our lives. It has to be centered towards something. Such as xbox, or star trek. I am noticing that not all blogs are like my brother has explained. My brother has always given me advice. From a young age, I looked up to him. Until I noticed a dark cloud that has followed my brother ever since he was born. The following things have happened to my brother.. heres a few.
1. The paint spill... He spilled paint thinner all over my garage, and then thought it would help to h
ose it down with water...bad idea.

2. He knocked a peru lady out of her shoes when backing out of his car.
I could go on but its better when he tells his own stories. Plus if he ever reads this blog, he might be mad.

Not to say that I haven't had my own bad luck. So i burned my house down when I was 12, who doesn't?

Ok so I win on the bad luck. Did i mention that the house burning down "incident" was on Christmas Eve?

Brooks has been a great brother. A little picky on food, movies, clothes, etc. We were playing a newlywed game, at my parents house. One of the questions was, on a scale from 1 to 10 how good looking do you think your husband thinks he is. Now Melinda gave him a 9.. Brooks said, " An 11?" And he was serious. Brooks is the best though, especially when it comes to quoting Seinfeld, or Waynes World. He is seriously the best

Dogs and Furby's

I think Eric has been asking for a dog ever since we have gotten married. Let me tell you, I love dogs, I adore them.. But timing is everything with dogs. I have always wanted a pug. Eric you think would drop little hints of wanting a dog. The following Eric does quite often: Watching any kind of dog show, Going on comcast and seeing what dogs are at the animal shelter, but the worst is KSL. I have banned him from looking at ksl classifieds.
I told Eric that he needs to take care of the Betta fish we have, or grow a plant, to show that he really wants a dog. I have offered that we could go and get a dog stuffed with a "heart" at build a bear, Or a robot dog. Maybe i i can just give my furby. It allows you to feed it, and talk to it.

I got a furby for christmas when I was 12 years old. Im not sure if that was pushing the age limits. But the worst thing about it, is that I always kept it in the box. Brooks, my brother, who slept in the room across from me, would always say that it was going to come alive in the night and kill me. Brooks did have a wild imagination, and he still does, but those things are kind of creepy. I just hope he is not saying things like that to Melinda.. I worry about that

Pictures

"HOLD IT UP!!!!!"

Hold it up

One of my favorite songs, about pictures... I love taking pictures, I hang them on the wall, they are all over my house. I believe you can never have enough pictures.. SO I thought I would give you my favorite song, and recommend that you at least listen to it one time in your life.. Its by the Rocket Summer.

Saying, I'm looking now at pictures of us.
I remember thinking, oh this will never be lust.
Oh, the songs it spoke for me when I couldn't speak.
Shame the band's broke up I just hope we'll remember these.

Hold it up, hold it tight,
Moments live or moments die.
Hold it up, hold it strong,
Stay right here where you belong.
Hold it up, hold it tight,
The only plans of mine might sound to you cliché.
But I just plan to live the rest of my life.

Saying I'm one, no no these pictures of us,
I don't want to say goodnight to records I love.
I was thinking of not growing old, forgetting and forgot.
I don't want to forget this and I don't want to be forgot

Hold it up, hold it tight,
Moments live or moments die.
Hold it up, hold it strong,
Stay right here where you belong.
Hold it up, hold it tight,
The only plans of mine might sound to you cliché.
But I just plan to live the rest of my life.

Hold it up, hold it tight,
Moments live or moments die.
Hold it up, hold it strong,
Stay right here where you belong.
Hold it up, hold it tight,
The only plans of mine might sound to you cliché.
But I just plan to live the rest of my life.

Just a picture, and a story of where our true sides are.. don't worry, Im okay

Politics, and Passions

Ok so it was the famous BYU and Utah game. OF course Utah has to win... The Liberal things have to win this year... Obama, the U, etc. No Im not that big into the game.. it was fun to watch. I guess I am just complaining a bit. I just don't get why people are so passionate about things. For instance... Hannah Montana, okay Miley Cyrus, is the most annoying and untalented person ever. I just want to go in "my neighborhood walmart", in the school aisle, and not see her face on every pen, crayon box, dvd case... I just thought walmart was better than that. I guess not.

Not to say that my passion arent the perfect example. I was able to play the Seinfeld "scene it" game with my parents. Now my parents are respectable at seinfeld. I won the game, and embarassed myself. But Maybe I have just seen too much Seinfeld. My other passions include... Dr. Pepper, Vacuuming, Napping, Playing the guitar, reality shows, watching good movies, and making awkward situations even more awkward..

So in the end Miley Cyrus vs. Dr. Pepper... Dr. Pepper would win in a fair fight.

Some Pics

The beginning of us

ok so I am a little late on the whole blogging thing. I would not call myself a blogger. Maybe someone that gets bored.. and likes to talk about themselves. The sad thing is, is that I noticed everyone has a blog. Including, friends, kid blogs, xbox blogs, political blogs, weight loss blogs, DOG blogs..etc. so I figured, i deserve to have a little section of the world wide web at my fingertips. The cons, that it might not be interesting, but I am going to give it a good shot. So here it goes.

The beginning of us. Eric and I met our junior year. We met at a friends house. We went to different schools. But we both had nixon watches on. So we just ended talking about that, and from then we started being friends. Eric went on his mission to San Jose, or as i like to spell it, "san hose".. California. He was english speaking, and then trasfered to Togan. He got back, and I never wrote him, but i felt bad i missed his homecoming so I called him up, and he asked me out. The rest is history.

So thats us, we got married on August 14th of this year. so 3 months later, here we are. Just newlyweds, still kind of immature, and both agree that Ben Folds is one of the best singers out there.
