drama...

I feel like I need to tell you of my latest drama, because I think Eric is sick of hearing about it. Today, I got to work, and noticed the worst pain in my left arm. It hurt so bad, that I could barely type. Now when I searched "Left" and "arm pain" it came with up with many ideas... I noticed that it could be... a heart attack, gangrene, or carpal tunnel syndrome... OF course! It all makes sense now, its probably carpal tunnel syndrome. After coming to that conclusion, I was excited to tell Eric that may be the cause, and how I didn't automatically go to the worse case scenario (Heart attack or gangrene).

I told him that I believe I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and he just started laughing. He said, there is no way I could have that, cause it takes repetitive motion for a long time, like "decades". Now, I knew this, because I of course researched it on wikipedia.com. But I told him, that I probably got it faster because I type all day, and I reach over to the "shift bar" alot. He then rolled his eyes, and begged me not to tell anyone but him.

In case you are wondering, my arm still is tender. I have taken some IB prophen, so hopefully I can go back to my normal life. Poor Eric....

The Post Office

Eric and I went yesterday to the post office to drop off our taxes. I have not been to the post office in a while. I walked into the post office, and stood in line, I couldn't help but notice that all post offices are the same. There are always 5 stations, but only 1 person working, and 2 if you are lucky. As I was waiting, I couldn't help but think, "And these people will run our health care." After standing in line forever, we finally got helped.

We happened to get the lady whose uniform is skin tight (I'm sure they wouldn't be flattering on anyone), and with a ponytail down her whole back , and I couldnt help but wonder when the last time she actually got a "trim". We got the normal questions, asking what type of postage, things like that. But I had no idea, all the extra add on questions they ask. I felt like they were trying to sell me an Old Navy Credit Card...she asked if we needed extra stamps, insurance, and if we needed a receipt to show that we sent in our taxes, and to guarantee it will be sent. Eric, said that he would. The worker than informed him it would be an extra $2.80 (PER ENVELOPE)! Eric turned to me, saying, "Shouldn't it be guaranteed anyway?" I then said, "No we should be okay" (IN a morris pursed lips way).

As we left the post office we did notice that she charged us anyway for the confirmation receipt. I told Eric, "It was so not worth going back and getting that cleared up." As I sit here tonight, I cant help but think, What is this world coming to?

Orange Crisis

I think I have a problem... I am addicted to oranges. December time is when i started to get hooked. I have cleaned out all the good ones at Fresh Market. (sorry whit, I know you shop there..) It has gotten to be a problem. I eat to about 4 each day, and sometimes average 6 a day.

Yesterday, I had heartburn really hard, and I couldn't figure out why, then it hit me... THE ORANGES. I had to google, "Oranges" and "heartburn" in the search engine, and apparently a lot of people feel my pain...Literally. I dont think many people understand, how good those "Chilean Oranges" are! They are so sweet, and so easy to peel.

Dr. Teynor once told me the definition of normal..., that its not normal, when it gets in the way of living... Well it has gotten in the way, for sure. I have had really bad heartburn for days, and tums aren't working!

i know i need to change my diet, I just need to cut back on the oranges. Today was an all time low though... I had my third orange while on break at work, and I noticed a fruit fly that wouldn't leave me alone, after I ate it. That's when I knew, I need to stop. Stupid fruit fly...

I had to do this comic just for Marne'... this is funny, because they only live for a day... LOVE IT

More Dixie

There is a few times where I walk in the room, and Eric is talking to Dixie like a person. I hear their conversation, and when I "interrupt", I find it very awkward. The other day I walked into the kitchen when Eric was telling Dixie, " If you can talk, blink your eyes twice." In the same conversation, he added, " I know you can talk dixie, I promise I won't tell anyone." Eric claimed that Dixie blinked twice.

Eric and I always try to figure out what Dixie is doing in her room, while we are gone. We have come up with many ideas of what she is "doing", for example:
Play poker with the other neighborhood dogs, break dancing, yoga, hopscotch, working out to P90x, scrapbooking, etc.( We might have too much time on our hands, but if you have any suggestions, on what you think dixie is doing in her free time, let me know!)

Eric has informed me, that Dixie would be more productive if she had "thumbs". This would be the answer to dog problems, if dixie had thumbs. She could open the door knob and let herself outside. He thinks, that she would be more independent, if only Dixie could grow some thumbs. I am so sick of hearing about the "Thumb Theory!" Anyway, don't be suprised if one day, Dixie comes to visit with implant thumbs. Have a good one everybody!

A few things....

Just a few minutes ago, I woke up from a scary nightmare. The type that you have to hurry and turn on the light. Nightmares are so stupid, and I don't understand why we have to have them. Maybe it could be because I'm reading a book called, "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter." That is probably it.

Or maybe it is because I went to work today, and sometimes have to call "Parasitology and Fecal" for some technical questions again. I do have to call a lot of different labs to get answers for clients, which is just fine. I have found, that when I call over to the Fecal lab, the people that run it, are crazy. Let me put it this way, who would get their doctorate in fecal matters... Well I am just happy there is people out there, but let just say, that they are not the normal-ist of people.

I have had the weirdest calls while working for a lab. Sometimes patient calls about their results. ( we deal with more hospitals and doctors ), so when a patient calls, it is quite fun. The other day, a patient called wanting to know how long certain drugs stay in her system, so she can take a drug screen for work. I tried helping her out, I mean at least the drug dealer wants to work...it's hard to find a job these days.

Well, I know its been kind of random thoughts, but I must go back to reading my Vampire hunter book. See ya!

Wrong side of the bed...

I thought I would list some things that I really don't like... Milk, wet paper towels, a shoe chewed up by your dog, bills, laundry, dixie's evil twin, when people say "hubby", waiting for your food in the microwave, all these michael jackson tributes, scratched dvd's, bad dreams, my alarm clock, biggest loser's "branding" (taking time to do a commercial during the show), tailgaters, red lights, slow internet, coughing fits, water weight, spiders...etc

Feel free to add your own! I really am in a good mood, but thought about venting, anywho, Have a good one everybody!

No Wonderland for Alice

I am so glad that yesterday is over with, Let me explain... I came home from work and reading a book in bed. Eric was brushing his teeth, when he noticed water was dripping on him. Come to find out, that we have a leak in our ceiling from the old lady above us. It must be her toilet or something, she always has it running. Which I pretend is a waterfall before going to bed. It is really soothing to listen to it... After that, I have had tickets to Alice in wonderland, at the 10:00 pm show IMAX that I got online.

We went to go see the movie, and as we are walking into the theater our "assign" seats are taken up. We looked at our ticket, and I got the 11:55 pm movie! So we returned them, a long story short, we didn't see the movie at jordan commons. So we went to Union Heights (by our house). Eric gave me gift certificate for the movie that he got from his boss. As I was paying the cashier she said with a snubby voice, " These are for Jordan Commons, we are a Century theater." OH, I am sorry that my husband does not know the difference. I told the cashier that I wanted the 11:00 Show. As we are waiting to get our tickets ripped, the guy who was ripping the tickets said to Eric (as he is holding his mint icecream that he got at Jordan Commons), " You need to finish that outside."...

This is where I almost went crazy, Eric replied, " Oh i just got it at your other movie theater Jordan Commons." Oh I was so embarrassed, I even told him after out certificate fiasco that they were different "brands" of theaters. Oh I am so glad that Saturday is over with! As we got to the movie theater, We noticed that the time was at 10:00, and the lady gave me the wrong tickets, because it was 10:30... We had to go return them, they meant the movie time was at 11:00 am in the morning.. arg!
I have to go to the DMV tomorrow, so maybe Saturday won't be that bad!

Gone Fishin'

Sometimes I wonder where the heck Dixie came from. I wonder what kind of breed she is. My mom was telling me about a DNA test you can do on the internet, where they send you a test in the mail, and find out. Eric always says it would be a good idea, even though he is worried that she is 10% terrier with 90% human.

The other day, Eric and Dixie went on a walk. Now Dixie loves to go walk by the birds, and the ducks. She usually takes a big run for the pond, but forgets everytime that her leash will stop her. I think, she thinks that maybe her leash will just break somehow... but it doesn't. Well while she was on that walk, Eric said she ran to the pond as usual, but when Eric turned around, Dixie came back with a TROUT in her mouth. Yup, Dixie caught a fish! Eric said that the fish was already dead that came from creek. Dixie was walking around for a little bit, all proud, with a dead fish. Eric had to pry that fish from her mouth. Poor Dixie. Now we both know, how Dixie got a tapeworm... She eats everything! She is a good puppy, she Tries!

Does not Surprise me....

I think I am going crazy! Let me share a story with you all... Tonight I was watching the bachelor, final rose. Now what a stupid show, I know who he is going to pick, but yet I could not look away.

While I was watching the show, Eric decided to start up some laundry. I looked closer at what he was doing, and noticed the detergent he was putting in the washer was the same detergent that I was putting in the dishwasher. He then informed me that it was IN FACT laundry detergent. He then got the bag, that read, "TIDE". I have been putting in TIDE laundry detergent in our dish washer. It then made sense to Eric that was the reason the dishes had a "white film" on the glasses. He said he had no idea what that was, and he had to re-wash the dishes...

Now, I know that apparently I was mistaken... but we were using cascade that looked the exact same tablet that dissolves. I felt like I was going crazy... Tonight has been crazy, Lese beat the whole family in bowling... including Terr. She is quite good at bowling, but nothing really surprises me about Lese. Well everyone Have a good one!
